What's Better Than Ice Cream??
Ice cream with a cop!
Beginning Saturday July 25th and continuing throughout the remaining summer months, the Charlottesville Police Department will be hosting “Ice Cream with a Cop” at various city parks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We have partnered with a local ice cream truck, Mobile Delicious, to provide ice cream to the citizens that are at the park during the hours each event is scheduled.
Officers from our department will be at each park during these events to meet with the public, enjoy the park and have some ice cream with whoever wishes to join us. We are hopeful that during this time together the public, both adults and children, will engage in conversation with our officers and discuss whatever issues they feel are important.
Below is a tentative list of dates and parks.
July 25th Belmont Park
August 8th Forest Hills Park
August 15th Washington Park
August 29th Meade Park
September 12th Green Leaf Park
September 19th Tonsler Park

Why you will be seeing surveyors along Harris Road
Survey work will begin as early as next week on the Harris Road Pedestrian Improvements. The survey limits are roughly between the JPA/Harris/Camilla intersection and 5th Street. Residents who live directly adjacent to the future sidewalk on the north side of Harris received letters notifying them that surveyors will working in the area. I am hoping you might be able to share this information with the rest of your neighbors. As soon as we have design drawings, I will be in touch to coordinate a time for us to get neighborhood feedback.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thanks and have a great day!

Help the FSNA Choose a Logo
Based on the feedback neighborhood residents provided last month, three concept designs have been developed. The designs are rough drafts that are intended to prompt further feedback and direction for a single design. The next design phase will begin working with a small review group for input as the logo is refined. Please complete the survey by May 18 to provide design comments and to volunteer for the small review group.
